A native of Kansas City, James began his entertainment career in video games, working as an editor for 2K Games and Activision before transitioning into live action. Since then, he has worked as a writer, director, DP and/or editor on a variety of projects including documentaries, sketches, commercials and testimonials.
He completed an MFA in Film Production from Chapman University in May 2019 and a BFA in Design from the University of Notre Dame in May 2014.
